Current Ratio is used to measure adequate liquidity of the firm. Ideal current ratio is 1.33:1. It is used by bank to sanction working capital limit.

Current Ratio= Current Assets/Current Liabilities

For Ex. If current asset is 500000/- and current liability is 400000/- then

Current Ratio= 500000/400000
                       =5/4=1.25:1
